This weekend was a lot of fun. We got to finally see the Meades on Saturday. We played outside and even though Josh fell down and skinned his shin, we had fun. Wil, who is very sympathetic, asked "Josh, why you cry?", I told him he fell on the sidewalk, "Poor my friend" he says. So sweet. Of course then both Wil and Elizabeth had sidewalk stories to tell. Later, we had snow cones to eat. They all ordered by color, not flavor. Christine says that she has outgrown Bubblegum flavoring. Me too.

Monday, we went to see Monsters, Inc. again. Shawn hadn't see it yet. It is still hysterically funny! Josh did very well in the theatre, he lasted until there were only ten minutes left of the movie before getting squirmy. He now will scream "Mike Wazowski!" So fun.

Wednesday evening, Josh and Shawn went to the store. Shawn said they had a great time. They walked down the aisles and Josh would ask, "What's that?" and Shawn would answer him. Some of the things Josh knew and would point and say "Pickles, apples, bernanas." They even tried a "Ku-kat" kumquat, Shawn said they were very sour and Josh spit it out. Shawn also named what they needed and what they already had in the basket, "We've got grapes, sugar, pretzels, what else do we need?" Josh "Jelly beans & candies".

Yesterday, we were home all day. We were supposed to go see the Meades, but Elizabeth was sick. Josh was SO whiny, he wore me out. I think his allergies were bothering him.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Josh was very easy going and helpful. He cleaned up his toys and brought me my shoes. "Here de go Mama" He wore his sandals "Like you Mama, like Collin?" They gave him blisters, but he wanted to wear them again this morning. I put band aids on his feet, I hope he does OK. He is a fun, sweet, sweet boy.

It's been awhile since I've updated, but we had a very crazy and sad week. Our Memaw passed away on May 15 and we've been in the city. We did get to see my sister and her baby and that was nice. He has a LOT of hair! He is almost too pretty to be a boy.

Josh has seen me cry way too much recently. One night, Friday I think, he asked me twenty or more times if I was OK. It was cute for awhile and then I just wanted to go to sleep. I would answer him and then he'd ask again. Sweet boy though.

Also, we have been watching "marchingband", in Joshese it's all one word, many times. Josh gets his drum that has a strap to hang it around his neck and he plays it while standing in front of the TV. He sways back and forth like they do and drums, sometimes even to the beat.

Last night, we went to the mall. I did some shopping and then of course, we rode the horsies (carousel) & had ice cream. He has been using this really sweet voice lately when talking to me. I wish I could describe it. He looks at me and says stuff like, "Mama, you OK?" or "Some?" when he has something & wants to share. If he asks for something and I say no, he'll go through a list of things like "Apple juice? Milk? Water?" Or somtimes he'll ask me if I want those things. So sweet.

We had an interesting weekend. We went to see the musical "Blast!" on Friday. It WAS a Blast! Josh sat through the whole thing almost without even blinking! He loved it! He clapped, he pointed, he asked for more. "I see Bwast. It awesome!"

On a sadder note, my Memaw is in the hospital with liver cancer. We went to visit her and my Uncle Johnny, who was visiting from Arizona. Josh, I hope, brought her a little bit of joy. He talked about seeing "Memaw, Papaw, Unca Johnny" It was as good a visit as it could be.

Then Saturday evening, we went down to Shawn's mom's house to see "Ganny Nanny & Papa Bill" and of course "Pincess" the dog. Josh ended up getting sick that evening and vomiting. He told us that his tummy hurt, but then he'd fall asleep. So it was kind of a surprise when he puked. After that, he seemed fine.

On Sunday, we ate at Applewood's in the city. This place is so good. We waited for 2 hours to be seated though. Actually, we put our name on the list and went to Barnes and Noble.

I forgot to add this morning that last night, Aidan came over to play. He was so excited to see Josh! He hugged and hugged and hugged him. It was so cute. He'd go up and hug Josh and Josh would kiss him. Josh would come over, "Mama, I kiss Aidan!" or "Mama, I hold Aidan hand!" They had a great time!

We'll be spending some time in the city for mother's day. I'm not really sure what the plans are though. We'll be seeing Blast! tonight at the PAC. We have been telling him about the marching band show for a month now and today is finally the day. I have a feeling that we will be buying the DVD and the CD.

Josh's school says that he is ready to be potty trained, he tries for them at school but not at home. We'll see. I'm thinking that I'll have to try the "put him in underwear and let him get wet" trick. I'M not ready for that.

We had a pretty good weekend. Josh wasn't feeling too great for some of it though. He ran a low fever Thursday and Friday and it slowed him down a little. He wanted to watch the "Lightsaver movie" about 4 million times. We put an end to it at 2 million. We are going to go see the new Star Wars on opening day. It also happens to be our 10th wedding anniversary. It should be fun!

Last night, we went to the playground with Wil and Elizabeth. We really had a good time. Elizabeth wanted to go home and Josh did not want her to leave. "No go bye bye yet, Elibet!" Then that started a whole new activity of trying to decide who was going to ride in the stroller (we didn't bring ours). While that "discussion" was going on, we all climbed the fence to make it closer to the Meade's house. That was very interesting. Wil went over to Sean, then I handed Josh over "I tall" he says. Elizabeth (who was very agreeable in a trying situation) was next, followed by the stroller. Then I climbed over, if you could call it that. Then Christine. I haven't climbed a fence in many years and I'm not sure Christine has either. Our performances were not noteworthy.
